I'm watering the grass this morning, and all the local birds seem to notice and appreciate it. The farmers can't use surface water anymore, and both the creek and canal are double the normal volume. Some cornfields have dried up and been cut down.

It was warm last night, and I'm staying out of the sun today. I was hoping for some thunderstorms, but the radar shows the existing storms aren't moving north or west.

We have a weird pack of little feral dogs in the neighborhood. A mom and her three adolescent puppies. They seem to be a chihuahua/terrier mix, and not more that 5 lbs each. Some of the local little boys were being yapped at, and I warned them that those dogs were wild, and might bite them.

I wouldn't try to rescue these dogs, as they seem like nasty little shits. Never been anyone's pets, and if animal control manages to trap them they would probably be destroyed.
