I roasted some pork outside on oak wood. It came out well, but now I smell like I've been camping.
There was lots of noise last night from just one of the little wild dogs. One of the four disappeared a few weeks ago, and now just one is out there barking frantically? I wonder what that means. It's always bad when dogs go feral, and I curse the people that allow it. I try to save stray and lost dogs, but wild dogs are beyond me.
These are small dogs, Chihuahuas of some sort, a mama and her puppies. They are hyper-aggressive, but not of a size to be dangerous.
Our heat wave is over, and the ten-day forecast is for normal temperatures. It's possible to have more blistering weather in September, and I'll be glad to see the end of it. I'm also hoping for good rains this winter. They say the ocean temperatures indicate a strong El Nino weather pattern, but there are lots of variables that could limit rainfall.
