Talking To The Dog

One fun thing about Halo, is that he's so smart, and is so receptive to learning words. Just now I mentioned that I see a fly in the house, and he looked around, until he saw it, too. He will catch it if he can.

This morning, while on our walk, I mentioned the chicken that I saw ahead of us. It was actually a stray hen with a few baby chicks. As we came up on her, she tried to hide inside a bush. Halo stuck his head in the bush, and made her squawk, which he thought was funny.

If I made a list of words he knows, it would be impressive. Train, and horse, skunk, cat, raining, sleep, too early, stop, shower... ad infinitum. In the right circumstance, I'll just need to say it twice, and then he remembers.
