Tomato Harvest
Oct. 22nd, 2015 01:28 pmThirty-six quarts canned and put away. This morning's harvest was only 1/3 of the previous harvest. I wonder if this picking corresponds to a heat wave months ago. When it's really hot the tomato flowers don't set fruit.
No worries, as there are still lots of green tomatoes and probably 6 weeks before first frost.
In other news, being a packrat often pays off. My little used fax machine went screwy, but I had a spare machine put away, and that did the trick. A hoarder would find a reason to keep the broken one, but I'll toss it.
I punctured my leg right above the knee, and I hate the sensation. It feels creepy, and I hope it heals quickly .
