In other news, I diplomatically pushed forward the reference checking for my teaching application. The sticky element is that my last employer doesn't give references, and the County Department of Education wants that category of references, rather than what I managed to pull together.
I think they'll go with what I've supplied, which is references by two student's moms, and a teacher that I know.
I bought the first copy of my sister's self published book. It's a children's or young adult's fantasy book. Of course, it's not the sort of book that I would choose to read, so I hope she doesn't expect me to quickly finish it, and then give it a glowing review.
