Halo In The Yard
Aug. 20th, 2016 10:18 pmHalo is adjusting well to my being gone during the day. He still gets 15 hours with me and two walks per day. It helps that we have a large yard with a good view. A possum was at the fence line a few days ago, and right now there are bunnies out there. Lots of dogs, cats, horses, ad infinitum. Sometimes, coming back from a walk, I think he's happy to come back to his personal yard and away from the neighborhood dogs.
He is a rescue dog, with a history of being abused and neglected, but in the six years I've had him he's gained trust that I'll come back. I always tell him, when I go, "Be good, I'll be back." He is, and I do.
