I can pet all three cats now. It's surprising how regular feedings will warm their little hearts. From what I've read, a true feral cat wouldn't be so accommodating. Cali surely had people once, and the tuxedo and orange cat are young, and may have been kittens when the cat lady passed away in April. I'm planning on treating them all with flea and tick medication soon, and eventually getting them spayed and neutered. I do hope no more cats turn up.
In a way, Halo might like Cali being nearby during the day, while I'm at work. They both are right there, waiting when I drive up. I'm not sure of what he makes of my going over to feed her. They're both sweet animals, so maybe they will become familiar. There once was a little female dog next door, and Halo liked it if she would come through the fence pickets to visit him.
