Cat Colony

 It was a rainy morning, and while I was sitting in the garage visiting the three cat sisters, the fifth cat brought in a present for them. He dropped what looked like a dead chick in front of them, which they found quite interesting. After about a year of lurking, he's suddenly here all the time, trying to be accepted by me and the cats.

Jack is fascinated with the cats. He always wants to get a peek at them when I go through the door. The cats are pretty bold, and will sit on a step two feet away and watch him back. I'm guessing Jack has decided that he likes cats.

Defective Airbag Claim

 I received a notice about filing a claim against Takata, the manufacturer of my car's airbags. Nissan will  replace the defective front passenger airbag eventually, but I just completed a claim for both economic loss and hardship, for a total of $1000. It may come to nothing, but I think the amount is reasonable, considering only 3 people can ride safely, and the resale value of the car is much lower until the defective airbag is replaced.
