It's a rainy morning, but we want to walk, so I'm watching the weather map for a break in the rain. I have added another insert into my shoe, and I think that'll help with my heel discomfort.

On TV, I've been watching a combination of Trailer Park Boys and some History channel military shows such as Battle 360, and Dogfight. They use sophisticated computer animations to show the strategy and tactics, which I like.

I did a big food shopping yesterday, and bought corned beef and cabbage to cook tonight, in celebration of my Irish heritage. The 23andme DNA analysis doesn't make a distinction between Irish and British genes, but the combination of the two is almost 60% in my DNA. I have thousands of DNA cousins all over the world, mostly with English surnames. My great-grandmother was named Doyle, but she came from Canada, not Ireland. My dad once told me that she assimilated into the US, voting and such, but never got her US citizenship. It was a simpler time, around 1900, and everyone just assumed she was American.
