Takata Airbag Inflator Claim

Last year, I filed a damage claim for the two defective airbags in my Nissan car. Nissan finally replaced the airbags, but I spent some time developing and documenting my loss, and set my damages at $1000. I must have done a good job with my claim, because when I search the claims, mine is among the few that hasn't been "expunged".

I've read that Nissan is planning to automatically fork over $500, and it would be nice to get an additional $1000 from Takata.
