Our three day heat wave is over, and in celebration, I mowed the strip of county land next to the road. It's pretty dry now, so that wild grass may be finished growing for the season. Now that I've cleared all the tree debris and mowed out there, the fire department can't give me a ticket.
My poor lawnmower is literally falling apart from hard use. The main part of muffler fell off, and today, I managed to remove the remaining part that was still threaded into the engine block. I ordered a new muffler from Home Depot, but will still use it in the meantime. It's just loud.
Cat #5 is missing. Lately, he was so regular at feedings, and would come when I called. I haven't seen him dead on the road, but it's been a week. My other four cats are fine.
