Heat Wave Has Broken
Jun. 13th, 2018 08:30 pmIt was 102F today, but about 7 pm the delta breeze kicked in and it cooled down ten degrees. We go for a second walk at sunset, and the dogs love it, in part, because we see so many other dogs. Tonight, I counted 16 dogs, with two running free.
The cats are fine, and I was shocked to find their big two-quart water bowl empty. I wonder how many animals are drinking from it? The tabby cat is being very sweet, and has taken to sitting next to me and wanting lots of petting. You should have seen how wild she was when she first arrived. I had another tabby in the 70's that looked very much like this cat.
