Cali In Her Winter Coat

She seems to be thriving this winter. She has put on weight and seems happy and alert. She never leaves the fenced yard, however.
Cali lived most of her life alone in a field across the street. She finally wasn't making it as a hunter, and was starving. She wasn't even a pet, much less a housecat.
She now has her own insulated sleeping box, two and three meals a day, my company, and the constant company of cats she seems to like.
The only one that wanders is the tuxedo cat.
He's good enough to regularly brings his kills back for the other three. I'll sometimes need to step over thoroughly picked-over remains of a variety of species, and Cali certainly gets her share.
Sometimes, I feel guilty that I don't have the cats indoors, or don't spend more time with them. The three youngest initially seemed to be feral cats. The funny thing is that now, they've been pushing their way into the house, and thankfully, the dogs haven't hurt them.
