Stressed Out With Plumbing
Apr. 21st, 2019 11:02 amI'm halfway into flushing mineral deposits out of the water heater. I had to shut off the water, drain the water heater, add 4 gallons of vinegar. Fill it back up. Now it sits for 24 hours.
It must be outside my comfort zone because it's stressing me out. If the whole process is successful, I'll be pleased.
I've been putting off flushing it, even thought it's past due, so maybe now that I'm finally doing it is more stressful?
I don't really understand the inner workings of my pysche.
Editor's note: Our hero completed the process this morning and has since taken a shower and done laundry. The vinegar took a little time to flush out from the pipes, but everything now seems fine. He must do this at least once a year to save his water heater from ruin. Alternately, he needs to install a home water softener.
