Auto Maintenance Update
Jul. 13th, 2019 05:16 pmI changed both the oil and transmission fluid in the Nissan before today got too hot. The car has about 40k miles, but the old transmission fluid still looked ok, which indicates the tranny is ok.
I'm glad to have the 4 speed automatic transmission, as
some Nissans now have newfangled continuously variable transmissions, which are really unreliable.
Because I did the work myself, I saved 75% of what a shop would charge. The work involved plenty of crawling under the car, but I don't think I hurt my knees.
Next, I want to change the front brake pads, and change the engine coolant.
