I'm adding batteries to my solar power system, and today I was building battery cables. Once again, I wildly underestimated the time it would take. I worked pretty efficiently, but only got half the job done, in twice the time. When I finish, probably tomorrow, I'll have about 5000 watts storage capacity. Some people have much larger systems, and even the DIY types with these large systems, often throw down $50,000 to $100,000 for their equipment.

My system can be called a solar generator. When and if the grid goes down, I'll have enough power to run things for about 5 hours.

In other news, all the fireworks noise last night sent the kitten back home early. He hung out with us, inside the house, and felt a little safer.
