The right rear tire on my truck blew out on the 101 freeway tonight. Luckily, I was able to pull to the right and stop between zooming traffic, in a little painted median strip between the freeway and an on-ramp. It was not raining, and I had a good light and one of those X shaped spinning lug wrenches, so changing it was not too hard, except for the distraction of all the cars passing so closely. The wheel was not damaged, but at first glance, it looks like the sidewall of the tire failed. It wasn't really bad luck, rather a sort of dirty luck. All is well. Courage.

Car troubles stink. I oughtta know. I've been in three auto accidents in the past year.

But hey the good news is you're ok right? Really that's all that matters.
