Murder and Injustice in a small town.

I'm reading an account of two brutal murders that happened in small town in Oklahoma in the 1980's and the four innocent men that were convicted of the murders. The police and district attorney were deceitful and incompetent. The judge cooperated in what became 3 kangaroo court trials. Serving on the jury was the ex-police chief of the town. These men grew old in prison, treated with terrible cruelty. Eventually with the arrival of modern DNA analysis, it became clear that two of them completely innocent. The body of the second victim was found years later, and no DNA was left for analysis. The other two, convicted of that murder by the same rotten DA and judge, with the same lying jailhouse informants, will probably die in prison for crimes they didn't commit.

I'm reading an account written by John Grisham. I've always been leery of our criminal justice system. Years ago, I had a low-life friend convicted of assault on a police officer, and whenever he got arrested for something else, the cops would check his record and give him a another good beating.
