Here's Halo, I guess he's an Australian Shepherd. I went next door and rescued him, and I'm doing an evaluation of him. He's really bonded quickly with me, and reminds me of my long lost Pogi. He lives for long walks and follows me around the house. He's young and quick to learn, and tries desperately to be a good dog. One final step for me is to get him to the vet, and find out if he's healthy. I have a XL seatbelt harness for him, and we sat together in the truck for a while already, so today we go for a first ride, and in a few days we'll swing by the vet for a physical.
He doesn't care much for balls, and the $6.99 pork skin "bone" wasn't chewed, it was promptly buried. He seems to have a digging tendency. His own game is to run around the lawn, stirring up flying insects, and then catching and eating them. This breed is sometimes called a "shadow dog" for their desire to always stay close. He's a sweet, non-aggressive dog, even though he still has his cojones, and he's safe with kids.
