Here Comes The Sun

Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's alright, it's alright
At 3:30 am tomorrow, winter begins, and the days begin to get longer. It's cold and gloomy here, freezing every night. The fog was very thick this morning, with visibility about 50 yards. I was listening hard for trains, as I walked the dogs across the two railroad bridges along our route.
Pogi's feeling better since I gave him one of his pain pills, and I'm staying home today. I've managed to do the dishes, uncover the avocado trees, and now I'm making chicken soup.
When I uncover the lemon tree, I'll pick 4 pounds of lemons and start yet another batch of marmalade. It's 43 degrees F outside, and the sun won't break out 'til mid-afternoon, so my plan is to stay inside and fight the gloom.
