I moved two plants away from what will be a new vegetable bed. They are odd tropical plants that grow large stalks and large red flowers in the summer. Hummingbirds love them. I was surprised to find they have huge tuberous roots structures (rhizomes?). The roots separated as I dug them out, and I transplanted most of them into two new spots, but have 8 root clusters left. I may just park what's left in an out-of-the-way spot, and keep them growing, so I can transplant them somewhere else, if the mood strikes me.
