Cali is a long haired cat, and the people that were once feeding her claim never to have seen any kittens.
Cat colonies are said to be exclusively female. It's interesting that Cali has assumed the role of matriarch and gatekeeper to the garage. Cali and Orange cat will chase cat #5 away when he is too invasive. I've been watching for him and will feed him separately, and after supper he usually climbs back over the fence.
