Problem With Windows 8

robbyMy media pc was failing an initial startup, and I was dutifully reporting the problem to Microsoft, with no response from them. I'm so glad I researched it myself. It's a known bug, associated with their "quick startup" setting. I got into the settings, and disabled this, now everything is fine. I fixed it myself, no thanks to Microsoft. What clowns they are.
I got the royal Microsoft run-around a few months ago when I installed Windows 8. I have a dual-core processor and wanted to download the 64-bit version, which they made impossible. I think their business plan includes me buying all sorts of apps from the Microsoft store, but fuck them. Every time I deal with Microsoft, I regret it.
