A good friend of mine has an daughter who turned eight today. I found a M&M's clock radio on the internet for her. It had a red M&M guy that, at the appointed hour, opens a door at the top and comes out to makes Rooster Noises, say's Gooooooood Mooooornnning!!!!, and a few other things. If you hit the snooze button, he says "If you hit the snooze button one more time, I'm going to come out and get you out of bed myself!", but he then goes back in and closes the door for 10 minutes.

i once was the proud owner of a mexican alarm clock, cacti with faces perched atop what looked like a snowdrift.

it played "la cucaracha", and after a while the voice said "sleep, sleep....don't get up. manana....manana!"

and so i would.

I set up the M&M radio at work for a few days and played with it myself. A friend told me he thought the animated thing was as annoying as hell, and he'd sleep with a baseball bat.It belongs in Pee-Wee's Playhouse.
