On the 12th day of Christmas

I scored a bottle of Remy Martin Cognac, and a Handspring visor deluxe. It's nice to be appreciated and loved and showered with more and more gifts. I've never had a PDA, and I'm toying with the idea of buying a modem for it, and connecting to the internet via my cell phone. I have a Qualcomm phone that is able to do that, it also has text messaging, but I've never used that feature.

I was out today in the rain, doing errands, and was stopped in a parking lot by an elegant European woman. Her Acura wouldn't start, so she handed me her keys and asked me to fix her car. After a minute, I realized her battery terminal was loose, and had her sit in the car, while I twisted the cable until it was tight on the post. It started like a charm, and she took it very matter of factly; she thanked me and drove away. I realize now she was a consummate judge of men. She knew I could fix her car. I wonder who she would have chosen for a torrid love affair.

I think she was sort of stressed. Maybe she had to be somewhere quickly. I thought it was a rather odd interaction, but I played my role to perfection.
