Idle Thoughts
Apr. 30th, 2003 09:17 pmToday was a beautiful, warm sunny day. We've had a lot of rain since Easter, and even this one day of sunshine has charged me up. I have an endless list of things I have to do and want to do.
My homebrew is almost gone, and I'm going to brew some lager next. That has to be slow brewed at cold temperature. I was considering trying to use the kitchen refrigerator, but decided that it would be too awkward, to have all the shelves out and a five gallon carboy in there. I just went to Home Depot, and bought a 4.3 cubic ft Sanyo refrigerator ($139!) strictly for brewing lager. A lot of friends liked the ale I brewed last month. I've been giving away beer and wine to people I like. It's fun being Santa Claus.
I stopped by one of my vendors, and a very pretty woman who does the invoicing there was giving me some clear signs of interest. Until today, she's been very quiet and efficient, but when the sales people left us alone we got to talking. Among other things we were discussing Iraq and the SARS virus. Both of her parents are still in Hong Kong as she's worried for them, as that is still a hot spot. I am very much attracted to her, she's very elegant and feminine. When she crosses her legs at mid-thigh, it's as sexy as hell. Her name is Emily, and she wants a bottle of Sparkling Apple Cider, and if she doesn't watch out, I'm going to ask her out to dinner.
When I was in college, the girls from Hong Kong were always the most sophisticated. You could generally tell which was from Mainland China and which was from Hong Kong by their clothes. That's changed somewhat from the eighties as Mainland China has become more consumer oriented.
