Much Ado About Nothing

This morning, I had the horror of waking up with no coffee in the house. Luckily, Safeway was open, even though it's New Year's Day. I bought some Folgers French Roast in the new and improved plastic can, and noticed that there is less coffee in the plastic can than there usedto be in the steel can. I also impulsively stocked up on storable foods in case of terrorist attack.
It's been raining hard, and the bed of my truck filled with rain water, like a swimming pool. I parked it the opposite way so it can drain down the hill.
I ran a free program called Ad-Aware, and I had over 300 spy programs lurking on my hard drive, reporting my actions to unknown others. I killed them all.
I'm trying to finish a historic novel of southeastern England called Sarum. It begins in Paleolithic times and traces families through to modern times. It's a huge book, and I got bogged down in the Elizabethan era. I just realized that's when my ancestors got the fuck out of England, and came to the New World. Maybe they were bored by that era as well.
