Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy the open line triband units from the Philippines, or directly import from Taiwan or China depending on how good you want the quality? I like the European models the best though, unless something changed in the last few years, they were the sturdiest.

I can get surplus cell phones here for as little as $1, the problem is that many US models are not compatible with intl standards.
