The Palestinian Civil War Has Begun
Jun. 14th, 2007 11:05 amThe Hamas faction is behaving like savages, with wholesale executions of Fatah members. I wonder how Israel will respond? Will they support Fatah? God help all the people of good will.
Editor's note: Abbas aide Yasser Abed Rabbo said a new government would be sworn in by Sunday. He also rejected negotiations with Hamas: "There will be no dialogue with killers who carried out field executions in Gaza."
It seems like the Palestinians will be divided into two separate states. The West Bank will have support and economic ties to Israel and the world, and Gaza will become nothing more than a poor and violent prison camp supported by Syria and Iran.
