A Tiny Sliver Of Self Awareness
Jun. 7th, 2008 08:06 amI had a really productive week, implementing a plan to recycle years worth of electronic scrap, and getting credit on account from a local auction company that picked it all up. It was a lot of hard work, but it came off without a hitch, and the warehouse is clear. As soon as the scrap was loaded, orders began coming in. I should be dancing, but I'm pissed that traffic was bad last night and I missed making an appointment by 5PM.
This morning I was up by 6AM, and I upgraded the Norton AntiVirus on this laptop, which was a pain in the ass, and I'm watering the lawn. Later today, I have a scheme to have my g/f's old worn out Acura (that I couldn't sell)
fail smog, so we can "retire" it and get $1000 from the state.
I'm always pushing myself, demanding perfection, underestimating how difficult something is. I beat myself up over minor failures, and conversely, don't appreciate major successes. I probably have exactly the right work ethic and personality for small business.
