Movie fantasy and fantasy posing as reality.

I caught the 3D Alice In Wonderland today and enjoyed the acting and pageantry of it all, and I was surprised at how ordinary the story was, with no plot twists or surprises. I actually liked this movie better than Avatar. I saw most of the Academy Awards tonight, as well, but have a problem with the Hurt Locker, as most Iraqi war veterans laugh at the details, saying it's really just a fantasy concocted by Hollywood types. Inglorious Bastards is similarly phony, this story of jewish commandos fighting Nazis is completely fabricated, without a shred of historical truth. In my mind, it's just more bullshit masquerading as reality,
