We've been humping at work the last few days to get a big order out. It shipped this afternoon, and surprisingly I still feel physically pretty good after all the work. I had most everything partially boxed by today, so I was able to lift mostly with the forklift, and that made a huge difference.

The cat's feeling pretty good as well, and she has decided that she wants to go out again. It
makes all the extraordinary measures I've been taking for her worthwhile, when I clearly see she's having a good quality of life.

My ace tomato plant is ripening a big batch of fruit that I'll have to can this weekend, and the four brandywine tomato plants are doing fine now, with lots of little developing tomatoes. I'm going to pull out one of the seven lettuce varieties, I think it's called red russian kale. Even the young leaves are tough and bitter, and maybe some people like it, but not me. I still have plenty of the other varieties, and I want to make room to plant more green onions and maybe iceberg lettuce for the fall and winter. I found a planting calendar for this region, and will gradually start planting cool weather vegetables.

My sister is coming over Sunday to see the new house, so I'll have to do some cleaning up. It's not too terrible, but I especially want to clean the bathrooms.
