Warm Weather Crops
Mar. 26th, 2011 06:08 pmI stopped by Home Depot and bought some tomato plants. Instead of Better Boy, I decided on the Early Girl cultivar. I found a four pack that actually had 6 plants and get this: the price was $1.68 for the entire pack.
I also bought some bush bean seeds, and instead of Blue Lake, this year I'm trying Royal Burgundy. They say pole beans produce more than bush beans but with my garden setup, pole beans would shade the tomatoes. I still need to till and add compost to the beds before planting. The soil is wet, but tomorrow it might workable.
