Dog Day Afternoon

This morning I put in some sod, and dug the footing for my concrete ring. I needed 4 bags of ready mix concrete, and once I left for the store, my focus was broken, and I never got back to work. Halo had fun, though, as we drove all around town, and we even took the long way home, past the smelly cattle feedlot. He would love to ride around like that each and every day.

I never found Ichiban eggplant starter plants, but eventually found seed. I should probably plant some little peat pots with eggplant tonight. Last year, I grew Black Beauty eggplant, and like it, but I've heard good things about this other variety.
