Hunting Dog

Halo caught yet another gopher this morning, on the driveway. He makes short work of those that walk in the daylight. Thankfully, he doesn't want to eat them. He stalks the big game, ground squirrels, every evening during his run. He has quite complicated hunting strategies, which must be instinctual, and he is smart enough to know that he can't dig them out of holes. When he arrives in squirrel habitat, the hawks seem be waiting. Halo flushes out the squirrels and get them running, and the hawks like that.
