Farm Report April 25
Apr. 25th, 2011 11:50 amToday, the first tomato blossom, and the beans are sprouting, as well.
I've begun freezing peas and broccoli, and while the broccoli will be completely harvested in a week or so, the first tiny head of cauliflower is just forming. This is why it was hard to buy cauliflower seeds locally- it's difficult to grow.
The green onions are going to seed. Soon I'll have lots of red and yellow bulb onions, but I do want some green onion seed for the fall. I've started jalapeno peppers and eggplant indoors, for transplant into the garden in May.
