Fun Fact Embedded Somewhere In This Post

The onion tops are beginning to fall over, which is a sign that soon they'll be ready to harvest. I've picked the last cauliflower, and plan to plant broccoli this fall, as the cauliflower was a disappointment. A surprising fun fact is that cauliflower and broccoli are really the same species, but just different cultivars.

With the rain and cool weather, I've cut back on watering. It's supposed to rain off and on until Tuesday, and my sense is that the garden will stay wet enough. Everything seems to be growing and healthy despite the weather, but growing slower than normal.

Medical Update

I went to the Dermatologist today, to have some skin growths looked at. I actually saw a nurse practitioner, rather than a doctor. The ugliest growth was something benign, that she didn't even want to biopsy, but to her trained eye a spot on my forehead was suspicious. She cut off a bit for testing, and I've now got some stitches. It opened up and started bleeding about 5:30 but thankfully stopped on it's own.

I also went to another clinic and gave a vial of blood for testing, in preparation for a physical a week from Tuesday.
