Through an incredible force of will, I went out early and tied up and weeded the tomatoes. They are now in order.  I have my German heritage to thank for this.

But I didn't finish mowing the lawn until almost 2PM, and  overdid my working in the midday sun. I have my English heritage to thank for that.

I've been watering and weeding a section by the street, and I'm happy to report that local bermuda grass is  now sprouting and spreading across the entire area. Before it got water, a coarse field grass grew there, and it  dies off in the summer. The bermuda grass stays green in the summer, and it is perfect for this climate. I probably won't have to plant this section, if I  keep watering, a nice lawn will magically appear.
