Here's an interesting article, about not just the return of harbor porpoises and bottle-nose dolphins to local waters, but also that the dolphins are killing the porpoises. They don't compete for food, but it seems that young male dolphins, without mates during mating season, are battering and killing their smaller cousins out of sexual frustration.

I haven't been to the grocery store recently, I'm down to just staples, and what I pick from the garden. It was nice to have some cactus fruit ripen, they taste something like strawberries. Eating like this, gives an appreciation for what life must have been like in simple times.
