Garden Report For July 2

I leached the soil under each tree for 12 hours. These avocado trees are a challenge, so let's hope I'm right about salt buildup causing leaf burn.

I also started some butternut squash, which matures in 90 days, well before the first frost. I plan on growing four vines and training them to climb up the fence.
