Chinese Kangaroo Court

The AP and USA Today are reporting a secret murder trial of the wife of a disgraced leader as if it was a trial in an open and just society. In fairness, I just read an LA Times account that points out the skeeviness of it.

The high today was 104, and hotter weather may arrive over the next three days. The watermelon is flowering, and I've canned some yellow squash with my new pressure canner.
I'm going to husk the second batch of almonds tonight and pick another batch in the cool of tomorrow morning.
