We've got a 20% chance of rain today, and while my tank is complete, the water diverter is not here. From the tracking info, it's been sitting in a nearby post office since 3 AM Saturday morning. I chose the free shipping when I ordered it on Amazon, something called FedEx post, and they are punishing me for being cheap.
Halo loves being outside in the cool mornings, so Pogi is inside with me, being a shadow dog while the big dog is snoozing on the front porch.
I took apart the flintlock pistol, and need to buy some 1/8" pipe for a barrel, and buy and bend some steel flat-bar to make it work with modern .22 caliber ammo. A lot of the authentic flintlocks were converted to percussion caps in the early 19th century. If the .22 conversion works, the best choice would be to then change it to a 12 gauge shotgun, and there's a clever way to also shoot 9mm ammo out of a single shot 12 gauge. This is the sort of thing people would have in a post-apocalypse society. They would only return to bows and swords when modern ammo was all gone.
