I've been slip casting all week, in small batches, to test clay color and learning the best way to remove the castings from the more complex molds. The high humidity has made a huge difference in timing to remove the mold and how long the casting needs to dry.

The rain water tank is completely full, and my engineering was sufficient as everything looks solid. It's the weight equivalent of a small car raised off the ground.

I gave some onion seed to a neighbor who likes to garden. He has a dog he thought was an Australian Shepherd until he got a good look at Halo. I also call Pogi an Australian Shepherd, but he's a little smaller, without such a heavy double coat, and with ears that stick up. He could have some Border Collie in his background. They have doggie DNA tests now, but I don't care that much.

I've been slowly processing lemons. I salted some and am also making lemon marmalade.
I plan to simply juice some and freeze lemon juice ice cubes. I made too much marmalade last year, but one factor is that it's good insurance to have stored food, even if you never actually eat it all. If the fragile supermarket supply system ever fails, that extra case of lemon marmalade will be priceless.
