Garden Update February 10
Feb. 10th, 2013 05:03 pmI transplanted about 200 yellow onion sprouts into the south bed. I'm 2/3 done, and will continue on another day. The second, large planting of snow peas is not yet up, but the four broccoli seedlings, started indoors, are doing fine. We're having slight freezes in the mornings, followed by warm and sunny days.
I've just finished eating last year's canned tomatoes and dry onions, and I'm down to canned yellow squash and fresh butternut squash. I also have every permutation of preserved and fresh lemons, and fresh red onions from the garden. The first planting of peas is flowering, so soon I should have those to eat. Lastly, the almonds, but they're not very good.
