Once the tomato and peppers seeds sprout, I'm placing them into re-hydrated peat pellets, and putting them in the sun. The eggplant seeds haven't popped yet, but as I recall, they're always the slowest. It would be best to sprout them at an elevated temperature, but I don't have the time to be so fancy.

I have built a second rainwater collector, and a series of storms is coming in this weekend and later next week. I need about 250 more gallons, if my Zutano avocado is still alive. It doesn't look promising, while the Stewart avocado has new buds. I've done my best taking care of the Zutano, but I know now that I'm in the coldest part of the valley, and I know that well water is bad for avocados.

In other news, I'm framing the new shed for a door, but I don't want to progress too far until these next storms have passed. I would like to get the floor and walls up during dry weather.

The yellow onions are getting strong and sturdy, and if you people are good, I might reward you with a picture of them.

I found a gardening community, with some clown explaining (with pictures) how to tell a "male" pepper, from a "female" pepper. If this was still high school biology, he would have to put on that pointy paper hat and sit in the corner. A pepper is a fertilized ovary, and males don't have ovaries.

Has anyone ever seen the film, "Idiocracy", where in the future, the human race gets progressively more stupid? I think that's happening.
