Electric Storm Last Night
Mar. 31st, 2013 05:54 amMy jury-rigged, auxiliary rain collector worked really well, and the tank is full from last night's storm. In this morning's lull, I'll try to pump the 100 gallons into the main tank. At this rate, I might have my full complement of stored water before the week is over.
Poor Halo was really upset by the booming thunder. He spent time barking by the front door, guarding against the thunder makers getting inside the house.
If the Zutano avocado doesn't show signs of life soon, I'm going to uproot it, and possibly replace it with another sort of fruit tree (Japanese plum?), planted in a different spot. I'll still have the Stewart avocado tree, which seems to be doing ok.
