Laying Low
Apr. 1st, 2013 11:09 pmOne advantage to walking with two big dogs, is that you can pretty much go anywhere you please. I saw that the homeless camp has been flooded by this last storm. Just recently, they built in a lower spot, I guess to better hide from outsiders. It was once a pretty site, but now it looks like a toxic waste dump. Locals used to go swimming and fishing out there, but no more. There are even piles of plastic chemical bottles on the ground, probably left from making meth.
I've been seeing a cat in the side yard. It's a pretty black and white, long-haired cat, and it seems to like the shed that I'm building. It's not terribly skittish, so it may be more of a stray that a feral cat.
I can't adopt any more animals, so I don't plan to make any friendly overtures towards it. My last cat had been a stray, as well as Pogi, my newest dog, but I have to draw the line before I turn into an animal hoarder.
