Much Ado About Nothing
Apr. 11th, 2013 01:10 pmThe house next door is still vacant, and I'm taking advantage of that and replacing some of the boards in the common fence. The cat back there didn't seem too fearful of me working nearby. It seems to have some affinity for people.
I bought some bagged steer manure for the garden from Home Depot. It's sure easy and clean to buy it, compared to wearing myself out trying to get some for free from the flaky locals. It should be easy to get free manure around here, but it's not.
The screen on this old laptop failed, but I enabled an external monitor, so all is well. I could probably fix the screen, but I don't see the point. Obsolescence approaches, this machine will soon be too slow for the internet, so I might as well just use it, and then replace it entirely.
I'm still trying to spout eggplant seeds. This will be my third attempt. It's possible that the seeds I saved last year are just not viable. Perhaps the eggplants I took them from weren't mature enough.
