Pogi Bags A Big Bird.

Ouch, 104F today, but then the Delta breeze kicked in about 6PM, and cooled us right down, like magic. Pogi killed a big bird (probably a feral chicken), while he was running off leash in the boonies. He's sort of a nutty, obsessive dog, and while off leash he's always hunting. He was a real handful when we first got him, but now he seems to have changed some of his early, more difficult obsessions, to his twice daily hunting.

I'm glad that Halo, the Australian Shepherd, is more stable, and doesn't get so wound up about hunting. If you read about Pogi's breed, the Border Collies, there are many rescue dogs around, because some owners ultimately can't deal with the craziness.
