Saturday Update
Sep. 7th, 2013 08:56 pmIt may be too warm for the tomatoes to ripen. We're in a mini-heat spell, and from what I've read, tomatoes would like it 15F cooler.
Pogi had been really fearful with all the gunfire in the neighborhood. I'm letting him work it out. If it starts when we're walking, I'll take him home and let him hide in the bathroom while Halo and I go back out and walk.
Pogi is torn between being hiding inside and being with us. When we're out at sundown in the yard, I'll leave the door open so Pogi can retreat into the house if he needs too.
I saw one of the bad pitbulls that attacked us in July, going at a Mexican cowboy riding a horse. The horse was panicking as the dog was jumping up to bite it. The cowboy dismounted and waved his hat at the dog until the owner finally chased his dog off.
